Indian Railways has announced major recruitments in September 2026: 11,127 vacancies for Assistant Loco Pilot (CEN 01/2026), 6,557 positions for Technicians Grade 3 and 1 (CEN 02/2026), 5,165 NTPC Graduate and Under-Graduate posts (CEN 07/2025), and 560 Paramedical vacancies (CEN 05/2026). Central government DA stands at 60% from January 2026, next hike expected in September
The Union Cabinet approved a 2% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) effective from January 1, 2026, raising the rate from 58% to 60% of Basic Pay/Pension. The next DA revision to 63% is expected to be announced in September 2026, benefiting central government employees and pensioners.
8th Pay Commission continues consultations across Indian cities in September 2026

The application window opened on September 2, 2026 and closes on September 21, 2026. This is one of the largest recruitment opportunities for candidates with Class 10 qualification. Applications are to be submitted through indiapostgdsonline.gov.in.
