Central Board of Secondary Education
India's largest school board — over 27,000 affiliated schools. NCERT books are the prescribed core curriculum; Class 10 and Class 12 board exams typically held February–March every year.
Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations
Second-largest national board after CBSE. Class 10 is the ICSE exam; Class 12 is the ISC exam. Tends to weight English language and laboratory practice more heavily than CBSE.
International Baccalaureate
Three-stage international curriculum (PYP / MYP / DP). The Diploma Programme is the most familiar Class 11–12 track — recognised globally for university admissions. ~250 IB World Schools in India.
