On the CBSE Class 8-12 chapter pages on Shishya, near the top, and on each NCERT Class 9-10 Maths and Science exercise-solution page. It opens Shishya's AI tutor on that class and chapter.

How does the photo question work?

Take a photo of one question. It is shrunk on your phone, read once by an AI model (Anthropic's Claude) and not saved by Shishya. You get worked steps, and a maths answer says 'Checked by calculator' only when Shishya's calculator recomputed it. Photo questions are for ages 13 and up.

Where do the 'why?' lines come from?

From a fixed list of 68 textbook rules written into Shishya's code (formulas, theorems and laws of NCERT Class 9-10 Maths and Science), not from an AI on the page. A step that matches no rule has no 'why?'.

Reading every page is free. A guest gets one free tutor answer and one free photo answer, then a free sign-up with Google. Signed in, the school tutor takes up to 20 messages a day and photo questions up to 10 a day.

Is it for younger students?

No. The tutor and photo questions are for Class 8-12 (ages 13 and up). Class 1-7 chapter pages have notes and practice to read with a parent, and no tutor or photo button.
