How the chapter videos are picked
- Official first: for each chapter we search NCERT's own YouTube channels — the PM eVidya channel for that class (for example "NCERT - PM eVidya Class 10") and NCERT OFFICIAL — by the chapter's name. A video found there is listed first: at most one in Hindi and one in another language.
- Official only (founder decision, 27 Oct 2026): no teacher or private channel is listed — only NCERT's own channels (and, for Kerala, the state government's KITE VICTERS). No channel is listed for money; none pays to be here.
- The video's title must name the chapter (every main word of the chapter's name) and the chapter's own class (or come from that class's PM eVidya channel). A lesson of 5 minutes to 12 hours, in English or Hindi; no Shorts. For a short chapter name in a book that is new in 2026-27 (Class 9), the title must also name the book or 2026-27, so a video on the old book is not listed.
- We check every video on YouTube on the day shown: it plays, its owner allows it to be embedded, and the channel is the one named.
- Where several videos pass, Shishya's AI model chose among them (a lesson that teaches the chapter over a question session); the same checks were run again on its choice. Where it could not choose, the first result in YouTube's order was kept.
- Class 8-12: the video plays on the chapter page in YouTube's privacy-enhanced player, and only after you tap Play — nothing loads from YouTube before that.
- Class 1-7: no player on the page — only a plain link to the video on YouTube, for a parent to open and watch with the child.
- Shishya did not make these videos and does not copy them.
