IIT Madras released the GATE 2027 notification on July 20, 2026, launching the official website gate2027.iitm.ac.in. The notification includes complete exam schedule, eligibility criteria, syllabus updates, and application process details for all 30 papers.

Students currently in the third year or higher of a four-year undergraduate degree in engineering, technology, science, or related disciplines are now eligible to apply for GATE 2027, expanding the candidate pool significantly compared to previous years.
