Marks, percentile and rank: what the exam bodies publish
Websites disagree on what marks give what percentile or rank. This page shows only figures the conducting body itself published, copied from its document (linked under each table, with the document's date). Where a body publishes no mapping, we say so instead of estimating. Read on 22 Oct 2026.
JEE Main 2026: official marks, percentile and rank data
NTA does not publish a marks-to-percentile or percentile-to-rank table for JEE Main. Percentiles are worked out shift by shift, so the same marks give different percentiles in different shifts, and your All India Rank is printed only on your own scorecard. Any "marks vs percentile" table elsewhere is someone's estimate.
NTA score (percentile) = 100 × number of candidates in your shift with a raw score equal to or less than yours ÷ total candidates who appeared in that shift, to 7 decimal places. The total is not an average of the subject percentiles; with both sessions, the better NTA score counts.

15,38,468 unique candidates appeared in 2026 (Session 1: 13,04,653; Session 2: 10,34,330); 26 scored 100.

JEE Advanced 2026: official marks, percentile and rank data
JEE (Advanced) publishes the qualifying marks above, not a marks-to-rank table; each candidate's rank is on their own result.

NEET UG 2026: official marks, percentile and rank data
NTA publishes no marks-to-rank table for NEET UG; the All India Rank is on each candidate's own scorecard. The score counts above are the only official guide to how many scored above a mark.

CAT 2026: official marks, percentile and rank data
The IIMs publish no table that turns CAT marks into a percentile. On 22 Oct 2026 Shishya found nothing on iimcat.ac.in about how raw marks become a scaled score or percentile, only the marking scheme (+3 for a right answer, −1 for a wrong multiple-choice answer, no minus for non-MCQ). Tables on other sites are built from students' own reported scores.
NEET PG 2026: official marks, percentile and rank data
NBEMS publishes the full NEET-PG 2026 result as one PDF listing each roll number with its score and rank, so the rank at any score can be looked up there (a large file, about 33 MB). It is not a summary table.

GATE 2026: official marks, percentile and rank data
GATE score = 350 + (900 − 350) × (M − Mq) / (Mt − Mq), where M is your marks (normalised marks for papers held in more than one session), Mq the General qualifying mark and Mt the mean of the top 0.1% of candidates (or top 10, whichever is more). The General qualifying mark is the larger of 25 and the smaller of 40 and (mean + standard deviation); OBC-NCL/EWS is 0.9 of it and SC/ST/PwD two-thirds.
