Left out or changed by Shishya: HOW CHOSEN: every laureate whose birth country nobelprize.org records as 'India' or 'British India' (the API's birthCountry=India filter returned 12; nobelprize.org web pages returned 403 to WebFetch, so its own official API was read). Names and fields exactly as nobelprize.org gives them. This is 'born in India', not 'Indian citizen': Ronald Ross (born Almora) and Rudyard Kipling (born Bombay) were British; Abdus Salam (born Jhang Maghiana) and Subrahmanyan Chandrasekhar (born Lahore) were born in places now in Pakistan; Muhammad Yunus was born in Chittagong, now Bangladesh. Shishya questions should say 'born in (British) India', never 'Indian Nobel laureate', for those five. Left out: Mother Teresa (Peace 1979) - nobelprize.org records her birth in Uskup, Ottoman Empire (now Skopje) and her biography there does not state Indian citizenship, so she fails the 'born in or citizen of India per nobelprize.org' rule; the 14th Dalai Lama (born Tibet, not an Indian citizen). Fields are not unique, so no reverse template.
Names and spellings are kept as the source prints them. Spotted a change on the official page? The list is re-read from the source, never from other sites.
