Shishya's practice papers
Two full papers of 100 questions in 60 minutes, in the official sections and counts (General Intelligence 25, General Awareness 25, Quantitative Aptitude 25, English Language 25). The questions are Shishya's own practice questions — drafted with AI, then read and answer-checked in review — not questions from any past SSC Selection Post paper. The subject tests and topic quizzes on this page use the same questions.
- Paper 1 is written at the Matriculation level and Paper 2 at the Graduation & above level, each with the official sections and counts. There is no separate Higher Secondary paper yet.
- The real exam has a 15-minute timer for each part; Shishya's player gives the 60 minutes as one block.
- Figure-based reasoning (non-verbal series, spatial visualisation, figure classification) cannot be drawn in Shishya's player, so those questions are replaced by text-based reasoning.
- General awareness here is static (history, geography, polity, economy, science, sports). There are no current-affairs questions, because those go out of date; read the news for that part.

What can I get from SSC Selection Post?
Mock-score → estimated rank → likely outcome (an estimate, not official). Use the mocks below to find your current band, then plan how many marks you need to climb.
Top tier, first-choice posts
88–100% · No rank estimate
- •In range for the most sought-after posts at your level when preferences are well chosen
- •Likely to be near the top of the merit list for popular posts, though final selection depends on the cycle's vacancies and category
- •Focus now on document verification and any skill test, and on filling the post preference list well
- •Confirm eligibility for each post in the official notification before finalising choices
Strong, preferred posts in range
75–88% · No rank estimate
- •Likely competitive for many preferred posts in central ministries and offices at your level
- •A wide choice of posts and locations is likely at this level, subject to that year's merit list
- •Document verification and any skill test become the main next steps
- •Keep up accuracy: a few extra wrong answers can shift your standing
Good chance of shortlisting
60–75% · No rank estimate
- •In range for document verification for a wide set of posts at your level
- •Clerical and assistant-type posts in central ministries and offices are likely in reach, depending on the cycle and your category
- •Post and location preferences matter more at this level, so rank them carefully
- •Prepare for any skill test attached to your preferred post
Likely qualifies, competitive gap
45–60% · No rank estimate
- •Likely to qualify the written exam, though shortlisting for in-demand posts is a stretch
- •Posts with fewer applicants or vacancies in less-preferred locations may be in range, subject to that year's cut-off
- •Where a post needs a qualifying skill test, preparing for it now keeps those options open
- •Sectional accuracy in General Awareness is the quickest way to move up a band
Borderline, qualifying uncertain
30–45% · No rank estimate
- •Qualifying the written exam is uncertain; category-wise cut-offs differ for each post and level
- •Even if you qualify, a shortlist for document verification for popular posts is unlikely
- •Posts with lower demand or fewer applicants may be worth targeting when you apply
- •Cut down negative marking by skipping questions you are unsure of
Below qualifying range
0–30% · No rank estimate
- •Unlikely to clear the qualifying cut-off in the computer-based exam this cycle
- •Selection is by merit among the posts you apply for, so this score is unlikely to reach any shortlist
- •Rebuild basics in Quantitative Aptitude and English Language, then retake full-length mocks
- •Use the next vacancy cycle to prepare and apply again
Estimate (not official): AI-written from the exam's pattern and, where Shishya stores them, published cut-offs. The score bands and rank windows are not from the conducting body's rank data.
