What happens to your voice
Speech-to-text is done by your browser, not by Shishya. In Chrome and Edge that service runs on Google's or Microsoft's servers under their terms. Shishya never receives or stores audio. When you press "Get AI feedback", only the text is sent to Shishya for one answer and is not stored.
What the score can and cannot tell you
The AI reads only the words, so it does not judge accent or pronunciation. It scores four things from 1 to 4: answered the question, organisation, grammar and word choice, vocabulary range. It is practice feedback from an AI that can be wrong, not an exam band.
This practice uses your microphone and AI feedback, so it is for students aged 13 and up.
