ADRE Grade IV — Assam Direct Recruitment Exam for Class-IV posts (State Level Recruitment Commission)

The Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE) for Class-IV (Grade IV) posts in Assam government departments, run by the State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-IV posts. It is an OMR written test of 135 one-mark multiple-choice questions in 2 hours 30 minutes on English, Social Studies, Mathematics, General Knowledge and Mental Ability and Logical Reasoning — one paper for HSLC (Class 10) passed candidates and one for those who read up to Class 8 — then an interview or skill test of 15 marks. 0.25 mark is deducted for a wrong answer.

Shishya's practice paper

One full paper of 135 questions in 150 minutes, at the HSLC (Class 10) level, in the subjects the notice names (English 27, Social Studies 27, Mathematics 27, General Knowledge 27, Mental Ability and Logical Reasoning 27 — the split is Shishya's). The questions are Shishya's own practice questions — drafted with AI, then read and answer-checked in review — not questions from any past ADRE Grade IV paper. The subject tests and topic quizzes on this page use the same questions.

  • The notice names the five subjects and the total of 135 questions but not how many questions each subject has. Shishya's paper gives each subject 27 questions — that split is Shishya's, not the Commission's.
  • Shishya's paper is at the HSLC (Class 10) level of Paper I. The Paper II for candidates who read up to Class 8 is not on Shishya yet.
  • The real paper can be taken in Assamese, Bengali, English, Bodo or Hindi. Shishya's paper is in English, one of the five.
  • General knowledge here is static (history, geography, polity, economy, science, culture). There are no current-affairs questions, because those go out of date; read the news for that part.
