ADRE Grade III — Assam Direct Recruitment Exam for Class-III posts (State Level Recruitment Commission)

The Assam Direct Recruitment Exam (ADRE) for Class-III (Grade III) posts in Assam government departments, run by the State Level Recruitment Commission for Class-III posts. It is an OMR written test of 150 multiple-choice questions in 3 hours, set at three levels (Bachelor's degree, HSSLC and HSLC with a driving licence), then a skill test of 25 marks (computer, stenography or driving, by post). A quarter of a question's marks is deducted for a wrong answer.

One full paper of 150 questions in 180 minutes, at the HSSLC (Class 12) level, in the official sections and counts (Social Studies 30, General Knowledge 30, Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability 20, General English 35, General Mathematics 35). The questions are Shishya's own practice questions — drafted with AI, then read and answer-checked in review — not questions from any past ADRE Grade III paper. The subject tests and topic quizzes on this page use the same questions.

  • Shishya's paper is the HSSLC-level paper (150 questions, 150 marks). The Bachelor's-degree-level paper (175 marks, with 25 reading-comprehension questions of 2 marks each) and the HSLC-level Driver paper (with Road Transport) are not on Shishya yet.
  • The notice calls its per-subject question counts indicative and approximate; Shishya's paper uses them as printed.
  • The real paper can be taken in Assamese, Bengali, English, Bodo or Hindi. Shishya's paper is in English, one of the five.
  • General knowledge here is static (history, geography, polity, economy, science, culture). There are no current-affairs questions, because those go out of date; read the news for that part.
