- Year-to-year variation: Cutoffs fluctuate based on paper difficulty, number of applicants, and vacancies across advertised posts. A tougher paper may reduce cutoffs by 3–5 marks across categories; easier papers push General cutoffs toward 70–75 marks.
- SC/ST relaxation: Approximately 12–17 marks below General cutoff; PwD candidates receive the most substantial relaxation, often clearing with scores around the 40–48 mark range depending on recruitment cycle competitiveness.
