Class-entry age calculator
Schools check a child's age on a fixed cut-off date. Enter the date of birth, pick the rules your school follows, and see which class your child can join.
For parents. Free, no sign-in, nothing to fill in: this page collects no data about you or your child. We do not rank schools, take money from schools or pass your details to anyone. No one can sell you a school seat: admissions go through the school or the official portal only.
NEP 2020 sets the 5+3+3+4 structure: three years of pre-school from age 3, then Class 1 at 6. Your state, board or school sets the exact cut-off date and may not have moved to 6+ yet. Check its admission notice.
Nothing you enter leaves this page. The school's or state's admission notice is final.
