- Typical category differentials: General cutoffs run 10-15 marks above OBC, 20-25 marks above SC, and 25-30 marks above ST. EWS typically slots 5-10 marks below General.
- Post-level variation: These ranges represent minimum qualifying cutoffs for Level 2-4 posts (the most common NTPC positions). Level 5-6 posts demand significantly higher scores (80-90+ for General), while Level 1 posts may qualify at lower thresholds (50-60 for General).
