Quick read
SSC Multi Tasking Staff (MTS) Paper 1 is underway today, August 25, 2026, with candidates appearing in multiple shifts across India. This article aggregates live feedback from student discussion forums, though real-time candidate reports remain sparse at this hour—we'll update as more aspirants share their experience.
Coverage note: Limited live discussion so far
We're being transparent: as of this morning, there is very little candidate-level discussion available in public forums specifically about today's SSC MTS exam. The scraped sources pulled primarily administrative news (UPSC recruitment notices, RRB results, CTET city slips, NEET PG admit cards) rather than live SSC MTS floor reports.
What this means for you: If you just finished a shift and are looking for crowd-sourced difficulty reports or topic breakdowns, those may surface later today as more candidates log onto Telegram groups, Reddit threads, and YouTube live chats. Check back in a few hours, or contribute your own experience to help fellow aspirants.
What's the difficulty so far?
Because live candidate feedback is not yet available in the sources we monitor, we cannot report on:
- Which sections (Reasoning, Numerical Aptitude, General Awareness, English) felt harder or easier
- Specific question types (data interpretation, sentence correction, current affairs month coverage, etc.)
- Time pressure or surprises in the question paper
If you appeared in the morning shift, your input is valuable—share anonymously on r/SSC or relevant Telegram channels so the community can prepare for evening sessions.
Expected cutoff range
No cutoff predictions are available from aspirant discussions at this time. Cutoff estimates typically emerge 6–12 hours after the first shift, once a critical mass of candidates compare notes on difficulty and attempt counts.
We'll update this section—or publish a follow-up article—once aspirant-side predictions surface. Remember, all early cutoff talk is speculative and unofficial until SSC releases the answer key and marks.
What to do right now if you took the exam
- Hydrate and eat something balanced. Your brain burned glucose; replenish it with a proper meal, not just chai and biscuits.
- Avoid post-exam autopsies. Comparing answers with friends rarely helps and often spikes anxiety. What's done is done.
- Note any questions you remember (if you want to challenge the answer key later), but don't obsess. Jot them in a notebook and close it.
- If you have another shift or exam coming up, take a 30-minute walk, then return to light revision—don't start new topics.
- Sleep. If your shift was early, consider a short nap. If it was late, aim for bed by 22:30 to recover fully.
What to do if you're appearing in a later shift today
- Stick to your plan. Don't change your revision strategy based on anxiety or rumours.
- Eat light 90 minutes before your reporting time—avoid heavy, oily food that will make you sluggish.
- Carry your admit card, ID proof, and a transparent water bottle. No pencil box; only the pen/pencil allowed by SSC guidelines.
- Reach the centre 45 minutes early to account for security checks and biometric verification.
- Stay off social media in the final hour. Panic posts won't help you; a calm mind will.
What we're reading
This live coverage draws on RSS feeds from The Hindu and Indian Express education desks, plus Reddit threads and Telegram channels monitored for real-time candidate discussion. Because today's SSC MTS exam began only a few hours ago, granular shift-wise feedback has not yet reached public forums in volume. We'll continue monitoring and will publish updates or a follow-up article as aspirant reports become available.
Students: if you have floor-level intel (difficulty, surprises, sectional breakdowns), share it on r/SSC or tag #SSCMTS2026 on Twitter/X. Crowdsourced data helps everyone.
