What we know so far
As of 09:00 IST on August 7, no aspirant feedback, difficulty reports, or shift-specific commentary has surfaced in the RSS feeds, Reddit threads, or Telegram channels we track.
This could mean:
- Shifts are still in progress or just wrapping up.
- Candidates have not yet posted detailed reactions online.

We are continuing to monitor and will update this article as soon as credible student reports emerge.
What's the difficulty so far?

We cannot comment on section-wise difficulty, question distribution, or unexpected topics until candidates share their experiences publicly. Check back in the next few hours for updates from the afternoon and evening shifts.
Expected cutoff range
No predictions available.
Cutoff speculation typically emerges 6–12 hours after the first shift concludes, once a critical mass of candidates has compared notes. We will add an aspirant-side cutoff table here once credible ranges are discussed in student forums.
| Category | Range (aspirant speculation) |
|---|---|
| General | Data not yet available |
| OBC | Data not yet available |
| SC | Data not yet available |
| ST | Data not yet available |
Table will be updated as discussions emerge. These are NOT official cutoffs.
What to do right now if you took the exam
Even without live chatter, here's what you should prioritize in the hours immediately after your shift:
- Hydrate and eat something light. Mental fatigue after a 60-minute computer-based test is real.
- Avoid obsessive answer-key cross-checking. Official keys release later; unofficial ones can be inaccurate and demoralizing.
- Don't compare answers with peers. You cannot change your responses, and speculation raises anxiety.
- Log any technical glitches or center issues in writing (email to SSC helpdesk) within 24 hours if applicable.
- If you have another shift tomorrow or a backup exam soon, use tonight to rest—not to rehash today's paper.
Remember: Tier 1 is a qualifying + ranking stage. Even if a few questions felt ambiguous, your rank is relative to everyone else who faced the same paper.
