- Ex-servicemen (min 6 months service after attestation): 3 yrs UR/EWS, 6 yrs OBC-NCL, 8 yrs SC/ST, after deducting service length from age
- Serving Railway Group C / erstwhile Group D staff and substitutes with 3+ yrs service: max age 40 UR/EWS, 43 OBC-NCL, 45 SC/ST
- Staff of railway quasi-administrative offices (canteens, co-op societies, institutes): service length or 5 yrs, whichever less
- Widowed/divorced/judicially separated women not remarried: max age 35 UR/EWS, 38 OBC-NCL, 40 SC/ST
- Relaxations not cumulative - only the highest applies
- SC/ST/OBC candidates applying against UR vacancies get no age relaxation
Application fee
- ₹500: All candidates not in the concession list; Rs 400 refunded (less bank charges) on appearing in 1st-stage CBT
- ₹250: SC, ST, ex-servicemen, PwBD, female, transgender, minorities, Economically Backward Class (income < Rs 50,000); fully refunded (less bank charges) on appearing in 1st-stage CBT
Online payment only. Refund only to Aadhaar-seeded bank account and only for candidates who appear in 1st-stage CBT. EBC is a fee concession only, not a reservation category.
