Age limit and qualification by post
21 to 40 years on 1 Jan 2027 for General Age is counted on 1 Jan 2027.
| Post | Age (General) | Qualification |
|---|---|---|
| All RAS/RTS State and Subordinate services (RAS, RPS, Accounts, Tehsildar, Cooperative, etc.) | 21-40 | A degree from a university established by central/state law or deemed under UGC Act s.3, or an equivalent qualification recognised by the government in consultation with the Commission.Final-year students may apply. |
Age relaxation by category
OBC +5, SC/ST +5, EWS +5, PwBD up to +10 years (Rajasthan residents)
| Category | Years added | With a disability (PwBD) |
|---|---|---|
| General (UR) | None | +5 |
| EWS | +5 | +10 |
| OBC (non-creamy layer) | +5 | +10 |
| SC | +5 | +10 |
| ST | +5 | +10 |
- Base rule: on 01-01-2027 at least 21 and below 40. Because the previous RAS advertisement reckoned age on 01-01-2025, the notice gives everyone 1 extra year, so a General candidate who has not turned 41 on 01-01-2027 is within the limit.
- Relaxations (years over the UR upper limit): Rajasthan SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS men +5; Rajasthan SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS women +10; General (UR) women +5; widows and divorced women: no upper age limit (must be under 60 at appointment).
- PwBD: +5 years on top of the category relaxation (the only cumulative one). So a UR woman with a disability gets +10 and a reserved-category woman +15.
- Ex-servicemen: +10 years for State services, +15 for Subordinate services (cap 50, or 55 where lower-post experience is required). Reservists/ex-servicemen max 50. Released ECO/SSCO deemed within age if eligible when they joined. NCC cadet instructors: relaxation equal to NCC service.
- Persons serving substantively under the Rajasthan government or panchayat samitis/zila parishads: max 45; state PSU/corporation employees: max 40. Non-gazetted employees (for reserved State-service posts): aged 25 to under 45 on 01-01-2027 with 5 years of service.
- Relaxations 1-13 are non-cumulative (only one may be used).
- SC/ST/BC/MBC/EWS reservation and relaxations are only for original (mool) residents of Rajasthan; reserved-category candidates from other states are treated as General. A woman from another state who marries a Rajasthan resident also does not get these benefits.
- Scheduled Area (TSP) posts: only residents of Rajasthan's scheduled area may apply for them.
