MPESB Group 1/2/3 Final Week Checklist 2026 – Your Last 7 Days
One week to go for MPESB Group. Here's the cheat-sheet to revise — what to carry, last-mile topics, formulae, mock targets.
The home stretch
You're a week out. This is not the time to learn new concepts or panic-binge PDFs at 2 a.m. Your job now is to sharpen what you already know, take care of logistics, and walk in calm.
Evening revision plan (Last 7 days)
Use this rotation. Spend 90–120 minutes each evening; quality over marathon sessions.
| Time | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 19:00–19:30 | MP GK rapid fire: districts, folk dances, major schemes, rivers, important dates | Highest ROI section; 15–20 marks you can't afford to drop |
| 19:30–20:00 | Maths formula sheet + shortcut drills (percentage, SI/CI, time-speed-distance, ratio) | Speed here buys you time for reasoning |
| 20:00–20:30 | Hindi grammar (sandhi, samas, muhavare, vilom-paryayvachi) or English grammar (voice, narration, one-word subs) | Pattern-based; cramming works if done smart |
| 20:30–21:00 | Reasoning: sitting arrangement, blood relations, coding-decoding (timed sets of 10) | Accuracy > speed in the last week |
| 21:00–21:15 | Current affairs (last 6 months: MP state + national) | Skim your notes; don't start new sources now |
Day 6 & 7: Replace evening revision with one full-length mock under exam conditions (same time slot, same duration). Analyze mistakes for 30 minutes, then stop. No new mocks after Day 6.
What to carry on exam day
Essentials (keep in a transparent pouch)
- Admit card (2 printed copies)
- Original photo ID (Aadhaar / Voter ID / Driving License / Passport — verify which IDs are accepted on your admit card)
- Passport-size photos (2–3 extras, if your admit card mentions it)
- Blue/black ballpoint pens (3–4; test each one)
- Pencil + eraser (for rough work, if permitted)
- Simple analog watch (many centres don't allow digital/smart watches)
Don't carry
- Mobile phone, earbuds, smartwatch
- Calculator, books, loose sheets
- Wallet with excess cards (keep one ID + some cash separately)
- Eatables in non-transparent packaging (check centre rules)
Comfort extras (keep outside the exam hall)
- A small water bottle (transparent, label removed)
- Glucose / light snack for post-exam
- A printout of your exam centre location map
Exam-day timing (sample best-practice)
Verify your exact reporting time on your admit card. Typical MPESB schedules:
- Reporting time: Usually 60–90 minutes before the exam starts
- Gate closure: 30 minutes before start time (you will NOT be allowed in after this)
- Plan to reach: 75 minutes early
Morning of
- Wake up 3 hours before you need to leave
- Light breakfast (avoid heavy parathas or milk if you're nervous)
- One last 15-minute flip through your MP GK one-pager — then close all books
- Leave home with buffer for traffic; assume everything will go wrong
Don't do this (the final-24-hour anti-list)
❌ Starting a new topic / book
If you haven't read it by now, you won't retain it. You'll only spike your anxiety.
❌ Discussing answers with friends post-exam (if multi-shift)
You can't change your answers. You'll only second-guess yourself for the next shift or ruin your mood.
❌ Staying up past 23:00 the night before
Sleep is worth more than 2 hours of groggy cramming. Aim for 7 hours.
❌ Eating experimental food
Not the day to try that new chaat stall. Stick to bland, safe, home-cooked meals.
❌ Skipping the admit card check
Print two copies. Check the photo, signature, and exam centre address today. Not tomorrow morning.
❌ Carrying your phone "just in case"
Even if it's off, even if it's in your bag outside—many centres have strict rules. One candidate's mistake can get you debarred. Leave it at home or with someone outside.
Marking scheme reminder
MPESB typically uses negative marking (often –0.25 for each wrong answer in objective papers). Verify the exact scheme on your official notification.
Strategy:
- Attempt questions you're 70%+ sure of
- In the last 10 minutes, don't randomly guess unless you can eliminate 2+ options
- If you're stuck between two options for more than 45 seconds, mark your best guess and move on
The night before
- Pack your transparent pouch and keep it by the door
- Set two alarms (phone + backup)
- Lay out your clothes, shoes, watch
- Skim your one-page formula + GK sheet for 15 minutes
- Lights off by 22:30
On exam day
- Read instructions on the question paper carefully (5 minutes is not wasted time)
- Attempt sections in your strong-to-weak order (don't feel obligated to go serial)
- Budget time: if it's a 2.5-hour paper with 150 questions, you have 1 minute per question. Plan to finish with 10 minutes to spare for review.
- Mark answers clearly on the OMR; fill bubbles fully, no stray marks
One last thing
You've put in months. The last week is about trust—trust that the work is done, that your brain will show up when it counts. Walk in like you've been here before.
You've got this.
