KEAM 2026: Last-Minute Checklist – What to Do in the Final 48 Hours
One week to go for KEAM. Here's the cheat-sheet to revise — what to carry, last-mile topics, formulae, mock targets.
You've reached the finish line
KEAM 2026 is 48–72 hours away. This is not the time for fresh chapters or panic marathons. Your job now is to consolidate, rest, and show up confident. Here's your older-sibling playbook for the final stretch.
Tonight's Revision Plan
Focus on high-return, low-stress tasks. No new topics.
| Time | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 18:00 – 19:30 | Skim your formula sheets (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) | Muscle memory for direct-substitution MCQs |
| 19:30 – 20:30 | Revise organic name reactions and inorganic exceptions | These are high-frequency; quick to recall if reviewed now |
| 20:30 – 21:15 | Do 10–15 previous-year MCQs (any paper, timed) | Calibrate speed; spot blind spots without stress |
| 21:15 – 22:00 | Light dinner, Biology diagrams (if applicable) or theory one-liners | Passive revision; easy on the brain |
| 22:00 onwards | Wind down; sleep by 22:30 | Fatigue kills accuracy more than lack of knowledge does |
What to Carry – Print This Checklist
Mandatory (verify on official site):
- KEAM 2026 Admit Card (printed, black-and-white is fine)
- Valid photo ID (Aadhaar / driving licence / passport / school ID with photo)
- Transparent pouch for stationery
Stationery:
- 2–3 blue/black ballpoint pens (test them tonight)
- Pencil + eraser (for rough work, if allowed)
- Small transparent scale (if geometry is part of Maths)
Comfort & Backup:
- Water bottle (label peeled off, if required)
- Glucose / light snack (check center rules)
- Sweater / light jacket (AC can be cold)
- Photocopy of admit card (backup)
- Small hand sanitiser (optional)
Leave at home:
Phone, smartwatch, calculator, notes, extra bags, earphones.
Exam-Day Timing
- Reach the center 60–75 minutes early. Entry gates often close 30 minutes before the exam; you don't want last-minute panic.
- Paper pattern (typical):
- Physics & Chemistry: 120 questions, 2.5 hours
- Mathematics: 120 questions, 2.5 hours
- Biology (if applicable): separate session
(Verify exact timings on your admit card.)
- Mark your OMR carefully. Darken bubbles fully; half-filled circles are often rejected by scanners.
Don't Do This: Anti-Checklist
Students who cleared KEAM say these mistakes cost them marks or peace of mind in the final 24 hours:
❌ Starting a new chapter
You won't retain it, and you'll stress over "unfinished" topics.
❌ Solving full-length mocks the night before
If you bomb it, your confidence tanks. Light revision only.
❌ Cramming theory late into the night
Sleep deprivation will slow you down in the exam hall. Aim for 7–8 hours.
❌ Comparing prep with friends
Everyone's "I'm so underprepared" is a lie. Stay in your lane.
❌ Eating a heavy breakfast on exam day
You'll feel sluggish. Keep it light: banana, toast, tea/coffee if you normally have it.
❌ Forgetting to check the exam center location
Google Maps the night before. Save the route offline. Check for traffic / road closures.
Final 12 Hours: Execution Mode
Night before:
- Pack your bag (use the checklist above).
- Set two alarms (phone + backup).
- Lay out your clothes (comfortable, no metal buttons/belts if there's a security check).
- Do a 10-minute breathing exercise or light stretching. Seriously—it helps.
Morning of:
- Wake up 2.5–3 hours before you need to leave.
- Light breakfast, bathroom, and one quick glance at your formula sheet (not mandatory—some prefer a clear head).
- Leave early. Traffic, road closures, and wrong turns happen.
You've Done the Work
KEAM rewards accuracy and calm execution. You've studied for months; the last 48 hours are about rest, organisation, and trust. Revise lightly, pack carefully, sleep well, and walk into that hall like you belong there.
All the best. You've got this.
