Indicative cutoff (estimate, not official)
Indicative cutoff bands below are estimates from score bands, not official. The official cutoff comes with the result.
| Category | Expected cutoff (indicative) |
|---|---|
| General | 90-105 marks (60-70%) |
| EWS | 85-100 marks (57-67%) |
| OBC | 83-98 marks (55-65%) |
| SC | 75-90 marks (50-60%) |
| ST | 75-90 marks (50-60%) |
| PwD | 68-83 marks (45-55%) |
- Category differential: General cutoffs typically run 10-15 marks higher than OBC, and 15-20 marks higher than SC/ST categories. The gap reflects reservation policy while maintaining 60% minimum qualifying threshold for unreserved candidates.
- Cutoff drivers: Paper difficulty level (varies between Paper-I for Class I-V and Paper-II for Class VI-VIII), number of applicants versus vacancy announcements, and overall candidate performance distribution shift cutoffs by ±5-8 marks annually.
- Qualifying vs. Selection: These represent *minimum qualifying scores* for TET certificate eligibility. Actual teacher recruitment cutoffs in subsequent appointment processes are substantially higher and depend on specific district/block vacancy positions.
