- The General-to-OBC gap typically ranges 4-6 marks, with SC/ST cutoffs 8-12 marks lower than General category. Cutoffs fluctuate based on vacancy count, overall difficulty level, and the number of candidates appearing.
- Sectional cutoffs (English, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning) must also be cleared—usually 30-35% of sectional maximum—which can eliminate candidates even if total marks exceed category cutoff.
