PIES Development — Remember four dimensions of development with PIES: Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social. Covers all major developmental domains tested in GTET.
Formative = "FORM"ative = Form/Shape learning — Formative assessment happens DURING teaching (continuous), Summative at END (final exam). Formative FORMs future teaching; Summative SUMs up achievement.
CCE = 3C Rule — Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation has three aspects: Continuous (ongoing), Comprehensive (scholastic + co-scholastic), Collaborative (teachers, peers, self-assessment). Remember 3Cs for complete coverage.
Adolescence Age: 12-18 — Remember "Teen" years = AdolesCENT years. Puberty starts ~12, adolescence extends through 18. Key for TET-2 development questions.
Nature vs Nurture = HEN — Heredity (nature) + Environment (nurture) = Development. Both contribute; neither alone determines outcomes. Question trap: avoid extreme either/or answers.
Language II
LSRW Sequence — Language skills develop as Listening → Speaking → Reading → Writing. This natural order guides teaching methodology and remedial approaches in diverse classrooms.
8 Parts of Speech: NAPPING VIP — Noun, Adjective, Pronoun, Preposition, Interjection, Noun, Gerund / Verb, Interjection, Pronoun. (Alternate: Noun Pronoun Verb Adjective Adverb Preposition Conjunction Interjection).
Active-Passive Voice Switch — Subject and Object swap positions; verb changes to "be + past participle." Quick check: Active has clear doer first; Passive emphasizes action/receiver.
Mathematics
Divisibility by 3 or 9 — Sum all digits; if sum divisible by 3, original number is. If sum divisible by 9, original number is. E.g., 4356: 4+3+5+6=18 (÷3 and ÷9).
Divisibility by 11 — Subtract sum of alternate digits: (1st+3rd+5th...) - (2nd+4th+6th...). If result is 0 or multiple of 11, original divides by 11. E.g., 1221: (1+2)-(2+1)=0.
BODMAS Trap — Brackets Of Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction. Common error: Division and Multiplication are EQUAL priority (left-to-right), similarly Addition and Subtraction.
