PIES Development — Remember four dimensions of development with PIES: Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Social. Covers all major developmental domains tested in GTET.
Formative = "FORM"ative = Form/Shape learning — Formative assessment happens DURING teaching (continuous), Summative at END (final exam). Formative FORMs future teaching; Summative SUMs up achievement.
CCE = 3C Rule — Continuous Comprehensive Evaluation has three aspects: Continuous (ongoing), Comprehensive (scholastic + co-scholastic), Collaborative (teachers, peers, self-assessment). Remember 3Cs for complete coverage.
Adolescence Age: 12-18 — Remember "Teen" years = AdolesCENT years. Puberty starts ~12, adolescence extends through 18. Key for TET-2 development questions.
Nature vs Nurture = HEN — Heredity (nature) + Environment (nurture) = Development. Both contribute; neither alone determines outcomes. Question trap: avoid extreme either/or answers.
Language II
LSRW Sequence — Language skills develop as Listening → Speaking → Reading → Writing. This natural order guides teaching methodology and remedial approaches in diverse classrooms.
8 Parts of Speech: NAPPING VIP — Noun, Adjective, Pronoun, Preposition, Interjection, Noun, Gerund / Verb, Interjection, Pronoun. (Alternate: Noun Pronoun Verb Adjective Adverb Preposition Conjunction Interjection).
Active-Passive Voice Switch — Subject and Object swap positions; verb changes to "be + past participle." Quick check: Active has clear doer first; Passive emphasizes action/receiver.
Mathematics
Divisibility by 3 or 9 — Sum all digits; if sum divisible by 3, original number is. If sum divisible by 9, original number is. E.g., 4356: 4+3+5+6=18 (÷3 and ÷9).
Divisibility by 11 — Subtract sum of alternate digits: (1st+3rd+5th...) - (2nd+4th+6th...). If result is 0 or multiple of 11, original divides by 11. E.g., 1221: (1+2)-(2+1)=0.
BODMAS Trap — Brackets Of Division Multiplication Addition Subtraction. Common error: Division and Multiplication are EQUAL priority (left-to-right), similarly Addition and Subtraction.
Area vs Perimeter Confusion — Area uses SQUARE units (cm², m²); Perimeter uses LINEAR units (cm, m). Area is INSIDE space; Perimeter is BOUNDARY length.
Triangle Angle Sum = 180° — All triangles: sum of three angles always 180°. Quadrilateral = 360° (two triangles). Pentagon = 540° (three triangles). Formula: (n-2)×180°.
Fraction Comparison: Cross-Multiply — To compare a/b vs c/d, calculate a×d and b×c. Larger product indicates larger fraction. E.g., 3/7 vs 5/11: 3×11=33, 7×5=35; so 5/11 bigger.
Environmental Studies (TET-1)
5 EVS Themes: FFSHT — Family and Friends, Food, Shelter, Health, Travel. Covers all NCERT EVS topics for primary classes. Add "Things We Make" under broader themes.
3Rs of Environment — Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Fundamental waste management principle; frequently tested in EVS pedagogy and practice questions.
Potable Water Tests: COLT — Clean water is Clear (no color), Odorless (no smell), Limpid (transparent), Tasteless. Simple recall for water quality lessons.
Gujarat State Bird & Animal — Greater Flamingo (bird), Asiatic Lion (animal). State tree: Banyan. Basic Gujarat environment facts frequently appear.

pH Scale: 0-7-14 Rule — 0-7 Acidic (lower = stronger acid), 7 Neutral (pure water), 7-14 Basic/Alkaline (higher = stronger base). Litmus: Red in acid, Blue in base.
Photosynthesis Formula: 6-6-1 — 6CO₂ + 6H₂O + Light → C₆H₁₂O₆ + 6O₂. Remember "six-six-one-six" for carbon dioxide, water, glucose, oxygen molecules.
Metals vs Non-metals: SLIM — Metals are Shiny, Lustrous, conduct electricity (I for current), Malleable/ductile. Non-metals are opposite: dull, brittle, insulators.
Human Teeth Formula: 2-1-2-3 — Per quadrant: 2 Incisors, 1 Canine, 2 Premolars, 3 Molars. Total adult teeth = 8×4 = 32. Primary teeth lack premolars.
Social Science (TET-2)
Indian Coastal States: GOKMAK-TK — Gujarat, Odisha, Kernataka, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala / Tamil Nadu, Kerala. Covers west to south coast (minor variations for Goa, West Bengal).
Union List-State List-Concurrent — Union: Defence, Foreign Affairs, Currency. State: Police, Agriculture, Land. Concurrent: Education, Forests, Marriage. Remember: National matters = Union; Local matters = State; Shared = Concurrent.
Ancient India Dynasties: MauGu — Maurya (Ashoka, 322 BCE) → Gupta (Golden Age, 320 CE). Two major empires with ~600-year gap. Maurya: Political unity; Gupta: Cultural peak.
Medieval Indian Rulers: DSM — Delhi Sultanate (1206-1526) → Sur (Sher Shah, brief) → Mughal (1526-1857). Chronological flow of major Muslim dynasties.
Latitude-Longitude Memory — LATitude = LAdder (horizontal rungs, parallel lines). LONGitude = LONG lines (vertical, pole to pole). Equator = 0° Lat; Prime Meridian = 0° Long.
