CUET UG 2026 Last-Minute Checklist: 72 Hours to Go
One week to go for CUET UG. Here's the cheat-sheet to revise — what to carry, last-mile topics, formulae, mock targets.
You're almost there
The NTA has released admit cards for the May 31 re-scheduled exam. You have three days. This is not the time to panic or cram new units—it's time to consolidate, organise, and rest strategically.
Tonight's revision plan (May 28 evening)
| Time | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 18:00–19:30 | Revise formula sheet (Maths/Physics) | Muscle memory for MCQ speed |
| 19:30–20:00 | Dinner + walk | Glucose reset, avoid desk fatigue |
| 20:00–21:00 | Domain subject one-liners / key dates | High-yield recall for Section IA/IB |
| 21:00–21:30 | Skim your own note margins, not textbooks | Confidence boost, avoid rabbit holes |
| 21:30–22:30 | Light reading (General Test: current affairs) | Passive retention, wind-down mode |
| 22:30 | Lights out | Sleep > one more chapter. Always. |
May 29–30: The 48-hour window
Do this
- Revise, don't learn. Flip through your own short notes, formula cards, or mind maps. If you don't have notes on a topic, skip it.
- Solve 2–3 previous year sample papers under timed conditions (domain subjects especially). Mark silly mistakes separately.
- For language sections: Revise comprehension strategies and common grammar traps (subject-verb agreement, tenses, one-word substitutions).
- Current affairs (General Test): Skim April–May 2026 headlines—government schemes, summits, awards, sports. No deep dives.
Don't do this
- ❌ Start a new chapter or reference book
- ❌ Binge-watch "last-minute crash courses" longer than 30 minutes
- ❌ Compare your prep with friends or online forums
- ❌ Stay up past midnight "because exam is close"
- ❌ Skip meals or overdose on caffeine
What to carry on May 31
Mandatory (verify exact requirements on your admit card)
- Printed admit card (black & white is fine; carry 2 copies)
- Valid photo ID (Aadhaar / passport / driving licence / school ID with photo)
- Passport-size photograph (if stipulated on admit card)
Allowed
- Transparent pouch / zip-lock bag for your items
- Blue/black ballpoint pens (even though exam is computer-based; some centres ask for rough work)
- Printout of COVID/health declaration (if applicable—check admit card)
- Water bottle (transparent, label removed)
- Small snack (glucose biscuits, chocolate—unwrapped, in zip-lock)
Not allowed
- Mobile phone, smartwatch, earbuds, calculator, paper chits, printed notes, wallet with cards (keep only ID + admit card)
Pro tip: Dress in layers. Exam centres vary wildly in AC intensity.
Exam-day timing
- Reporting time: Usually 90 minutes before the slot printed on your admit card. Do not be late—entry closes as per NTA guidelines.
- Frisking & biometric: Allow 20–30 minutes.
- Exam duration: Depends on number of subjects chosen. Typically 45 minutes per subject (Section IA, IB, II, III, etc.). Check your admit card for your specific slot and combination.
Arrive at the centre at least 2 hours early. Traffic, document checks, and bio-metric queues are real.
The night before (May 30)
- 20:00–21:00: Quick flip through one-page summaries. That's it.
- 21:00: Pack your transparent pouch. Tick the checklist above.
- 21:30: Lay out clothes, double-check admit card printouts and ID.
- 22:00: Screen off. Read something light (not study material) or listen to calm music.
- 22:30: Sleep.
Set two alarms. Ask a family member to wake you as backup.
On exam morning
- Light breakfast: Avoid heavy parathas or milk if you're lactose-sensitive. Banana + toast + eggs work well.
- Hydrate, don't flood: Sip water; don't chug a litre (washroom breaks during exam are restricted).
- Reach the centre by 07:00–07:30 if your slot is 09:00 or after. Metro delays and document queues are unpredictable.
Inside the exam hall
- First 2 minutes: Breathe. Read instructions on-screen carefully.
- Attempt known questions first. CUET has no negative marking in many sections (verify for your subjects), but don't waste time on questions you're completely blank on.
- Time per question: ~60 seconds average. If you're stuck beyond 90 seconds, flag and move on.
- Last 5 minutes: Review marked-for-review questions. Don't leave easy marks on the table due to mis-clicks.
One last thing
You've prepared for months. These 72 hours won't make or break you—but they can sharpen your edge. Trust your preparation, sleep well, and show up calm.
See you on the other side.
