Bihar Police SI 2026: Final 48-Hour Checklist – What to Do, Carry & Avoid
One week to go for BPSSC SI. Here's the cheat-sheet to revise — what to carry, last-mile topics, formulae, mock targets.
You've prepared. Now, execute.
The BPSSC Sub-Inspector exam is 48 hours away. This is not the time for new chapters or panic. Your job now is to consolidate what you know, pack what you need, and rest well. Here's your final run-up plan.
Tonight's Revision Plan (3 hours max)
Use this table to structure your last evening session. Do not exceed three hours — fatigue kills recall.
| Time | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 18:00–18:45 | One-pagers: Indian Polity (Articles 14, 19–22, 32, 226, 356), Fundamental Duties, emergency provisions | BPSSC loves constitutional basics; quick MCQ wins |
| 18:45–19:30 | Bihar Special: Current CM/Governor, Patna High Court CJ, recent state budget highlights, district count, major rivers | State GK is 15–20% of paper; often ignored in final hours |
| 19:30–20:15 | Reasoning shortcuts: Seating arrangement tricks, blood relation notation, coding-decoding patterns | These are scoring if you have a method; pure speed section |
| 20:15–21:00 | Maths formulae sheet: Time-work-distance, percentage-SI-CI, average, ratio, number system divisibility rules | No derivations. Just formulae + 2 example MCQs per topic |
After 21:00: Dinner, light walk, no screen time. Sleep by 22:30.
What to Carry (Pack Tonight)
Mandatory
- Admit card – two printouts (one laminated or in a plastic sleeve)
- Valid photo ID – Aadhaar / Voter ID / Driving License / Passport (original + photocopy)
- Passport-size photos – 2–3 extras (same as uploaded on application form)
Stationery (verify allowed items on official site)
- Blue/black ballpoint pens – 3–4 (same brand, test each)
- Transparent pouch – for pens, ID, admit card
- Pencil + eraser – if OMR bubbling by pencil is permitted (check your admit card)
Comfort & Backup
- Water bottle (transparent, label removed)
- Glucose / small snack – for the break or post-exam energy dip
- Wristwatch (analog, no smartwatch)
- Mask (some centres still mandate)
- Printout of exam-centre address + Google Maps screenshot
Leave at Home
- Mobile phone, earbuds, smartwatch, calculator
- Books, notes, loose papers
- Wallet with unnecessary cards (carry only cash + one ID)
Exam-Day Timing (Adjust to Your Centre)
- 06:00 – Wake up. Light breakfast (avoid heavy parathas; go for banana, bread, boiled egg).
- 07:30 – Leave home. Reach centre at least 60–90 minutes before gate closure (verify reporting time on admit card).
- Gate closes – Typically 30 min before exam start; confirm on official notice.
- Frisking & document check – Budget 20 minutes.
- Last bio-break – 10 minutes before you enter the hall.
- In your seat – 15 minutes early. Read instructions on the cover page calmly.
No re-entry once you leave the hall. Plan accordingly.
Don't Do This (Final 24-Hour Anti-List)
Students who fail often sabotage themselves in the final stretch. Avoid:
| ❌ Don't | ✅ Do instead |
|---|---|
| Attempt new mock tests or unseen question sets | Revise wrong questions from your last 5 mocks |
| Study until 2 a.m. "to cover everything" | Sleep 7–8 hours; memory consolidates during sleep |
| Discuss answers with friends outside the centre pre-exam | Listen to music, do breathing exercises, stay in your zone |
| Drink 3 cups of tea in the morning for "alertness" | One cup max; too much caffeine = repeated bathroom urges mid-exam |
| Carry chits, notes, or phone "just in case" | You will be disqualified. Not worth it. |
| Skip breakfast to "save time" | Low blood sugar = poor concentration in the first hour |
Attempt Strategy Recap (For the Exam Hall)
General Intelligence & Reasoning:
Start here if you're strong in puzzles. These are often time-sinks — set a 1 min per question limit. Mark tough seating-arrangement sets for last.
General Knowledge & Current Affairs:
You either know it or you don't. Do not overthink. One pass, mark confidently, move on.
Bihar Special GK:
Free marks if you've done basic homework. Revise your one-pager tonight.
Numerical/Mental Ability:
Approximation is your friend. For calculation-heavy MCQs, eliminate two options fast, then compute.
Hindi/English Language:
If included, do grammar and vocab first (faster), comprehension last (time-consuming).
Marking scheme:
Verify if there is negative marking on your admit card. If yes (commonly –0.25 or –0.2 per wrong answer), do not guess blindly on 50-50s in the last 10 minutes.
One Day Before: Sample Timeline
- Morning: One light revision session (1.5 hours). Go over your handwritten notes or formula diary.
- Afternoon: Pack your pouch. Lay out clothes. Check exam centre route on Maps; save offline map if needed.
- Evening: The 3-hour revision plan above.
- Night: Breathing exercises, light dinner, sleep by 22:30.
Do not:
- Watch YouTube "last-minute tricks" videos (algorithm rabbit-hole)
- Argue with family
- Eat street food (stomach issues are exam killers)
You Are Ready
You've put in the months. The final 48 hours are about sharpening the blade, not forging it. Trust your preparation, follow this checklist, and walk into that hall with quiet confidence.
See you on the other side.
