AP TET 2026 Last-Minute Checklist: 48 Hours to Exam Day
One week to go for AP TET. Here's the cheat-sheet to revise — what to carry, last-mile topics, formulae, mock targets.
You've Done the Work. Now Execute Smart.
If you're reading this two days before AP TET, your preparation phase is over. What matters now is consolidating what you know, keeping your nerves steady, and showing up ready. This checklist will walk you through exactly that.
Tonight's Revision Plan
Don't try to cover everything. Focus on high-recall, high-weightage areas you've already studied.
| Time | What | Why |
|---|---|---|
| 18:00–19:00 | Child Development & Pedagogy: Piaget, Vygotsky, Kohlberg stages (one-page notes) | Most scoring section; theory-heavy, fact-recall questions |
| 19:00–19:45 | Language I/II pedagogy concepts (grammar-translation, communicative approach, evaluation methods) | Conceptual clarity prevents silly mistakes; often 5–6 direct questions |
| 19:45–20:30 | Mathematics pedagogy (for Paper I) or Content (for Paper II): your weakest subtopic only | Target your gap, not your comfort zone |
| 20:30–21:00 | NCF 2005, RTE 2009, NEP 2020 highlights (one-liner facts: age limits, CCE, inclusive education) | 3–4 direct questions; easy marks if you've revised once |
| 21:00–21:15 | Flip through your own error log or marked questions | Pattern recognition; avoid repeating mistakes |
| 21:15 onward | Light dinner, pack your exam kit, sleep by 22:30 | Sleep is your secret weapon |
What to Carry: The Non-Negotiable Kit
Pack these tonight so you're not hunting for them tomorrow morning.
Must-Have
- ✅ Admit card (2 printed copies, black-and-white is fine)
- ✅ Valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Driving License — original, not photocopy)
- ✅ Passport-size photos (if the admit card requires pasting; verify on your admit card)
- ✅ Blue/black ballpoint pens (carry 3–4; some centres are strict about pen type for OMR)
- ✅ Transparent water bottle (labels removed)
- ✅ Simple wristwatch (analog preferred; smartwatches usually not allowed)
Permitted (Verify on Admit Card)
- Small transparent pouch for the above items
- Hand sanitizer (small bottle)
- Simple snack (glucose, chocolate) for the break between papers if applicable
Absolutely Forbidden
- Mobile phone, calculator, smartwatch, Bluetooth devices
- Books, notes, loose paper
- Wallet with excess cards, any electronic items
Pro tip: Take a photo of your admit card on a family member's phone and share it on WhatsApp. Backup in case of loss.
Exam-Day Timing: The 90-Minute Rule
- Reporting time: Verify on your admit card (typically 60–90 minutes before the exam starts).
- Gate closure: Usually 30 minutes before start time. Do not risk it.
- Plan to reach the centre: 90 minutes early. Traffic, document verification, and biometric processes take time.
- Frisking & verification: 15–20 minutes. Stay patient.
- Sitting arrangement: You'll be assigned a seat. Don't argue or swap.
Morning of the exam:
- Wake up 3 hours before you need to leave.
- Light breakfast (avoid heavy or new foods).
- Reach the exam centre, locate your room/block, then sit calmly. Use those 20–30 minutes to mentally rehearse Paper I topics.
The "Don't Do This" Anti-List
Students sabotage themselves in the final 24 hours. Avoid these traps:
| Don't | Why |
|---|---|
| Start a new chapter or topic tonight | You won't retain it; you'll only panic about what you "don't know" |
| Stay up past midnight cramming | Sleep deprivation kills recall and decision-making during the exam |
| Drink excess chai/coffee tomorrow morning | Leads to jitters, frequent bathroom trips, and shaky hands while bubbling OMR |
| Discuss answers with friends right after Paper I | It's over. What's done is done. Focus on Paper II (if applicable) instead |
| Argue with invigilators about seat/pen/ID | Smile, comply, move on. You can't afford the mental drain |
| Carry prohibited items "just in case" | If found, you risk disqualification. Not worth it |
Inside the Exam Hall: Execution Checklist
- First 2 minutes: Fill in your roll number and shade bubbles carefully on the OMR. This is not revision time.
- Question paper check: Flip through to ensure all pages are printed. Report issues immediately.
- Time slicing (for 150 min, 150 Q paper — verify your paper pattern):
- Child Development & Pedagogy (30 Q): 30 minutes
- Language I (30 Q): 30 minutes
- Language II (30 Q): 30 minutes
- Mathematics/Science/Social (60 Q): 55 minutes
- Buffer for OMR transfer & review: 5 minutes
- Attempt strategy: Go domain by domain. Don't jump around randomly; it wastes time and focus.
- Guessing: If there's no negative marking (verify on the question paper), attempt all questions in the last 2 minutes.
- OMR shading: Dark, complete ovals. No half-shading. No stray marks. Use the side of the pen nib if needed.
One Last Thing
You've put in the hours. You know Child Pedagogy, you've practiced language comprehension, you've revised mathematics and EVS pedagogy. Trust that. The exam won't ask you anything wildly outside the syllabus. It will ask you to recall, apply, and stay calm under time pressure. You can do that.
See you on the other side. 💙
Note: Exam reporting time, marking scheme, and specific instructions vary by session and year. Cross-check your admit card and official notification before exam day.
