How to become a Merchant Navy Officer
2 viable paths.
Class 12 (PCM) → IMU CET → BSc Nautical / Marine Eng → Cadet → Officer
Most direct. IMU CET national entrance; 4-year BSc Nautical or BTech Marine Eng.
BTech Mechanical/Electrical → GME (Graduate Marine Engineering) → Engine Officer
Lateral entry for mech/electrical engineers.
