Check my written answer (photo)

Write your answer on paper, take a photo, and get feedback. Free: your first check needs no account; sign up free to keep using it (up to 10 checks a day). For students aged 13 and up. हिंदी में लिखा उत्तर भी जाँचा जा सकता है, और फ़ीडबैक हिंदी में मिल सकता है।

How your answer is checked

  1. An AI model (Anthropic's Claude) reads the photo and copies out your writing as text. You can see what it read under your feedback.
  2. The copied text is checked by an AI model, which may be Anthropic's Claude. Before you see the feedback, Shishya checks it: every mark must belong to a marking point, every phrase it quotes must be in your answer, and feedback on your own question may not give any marks.

Two kinds of feedback

  • CBSE sample-paper question: marked point by point against marking points that follow how CBSE's own marking scheme splits the marks (in Shishya's words; the official paper and scheme are linked below). Labelled “Practice marking (AI guidance), not your board score”.
  • Your own question: there is no official marking scheme, so you get no marks, only what works, what to improve and ideas a full answer often has. Labelled “AI guidance, no marks: Shishya has no official marking scheme for this question”.

Your photo is not stored

The photo is shrunk on your phone, read once and discarded. Shishya does not save the photo, the text read from it or the feedback, in your account or in this browser.

This check sends a photo of your writing to an AI model, so it is for students aged 13 and up.
